Antique sideboard / chiffonier
with mirrored top and rounded sides
made of solid oak, featuring inlays and
ornamental details from the wilhelminian era
dating from around 1880–1890.
a truly beautiful piece of furniture
and a gem for any room!
the rounded side doors are very
elaborate and beautifully leaded with narrow
faceted glass panes;
the front doors feature fine inlays.
the locks are still the original
bolt locks with iron rails.
the mirror top is also
rounded on the sides and features old, original
silver-coated faceted mirrors.
dimensions are:
w 133 x d 56 x h 172 cm
height to top surface without mirror top: 103 cm
width of center section without rounded side doors: 80 cm
condition:
overall, the sideboard is still in
almost very good original condition for its age.
a few rusty nails on the inside of the bottom
have been replaced with new small screws.
all faceted glass panels are still intact, i.e.,
without cracks. The rounded mirror in the
top section on the left has a small
blind spot in the lower left corner, but it is barely noticeable and is normal
for old silver-coated mirrors. The mirrors
also have no cracks.
inside the left drawer, there is an
elongated stain, but it is not particularly
distracting.
all in all, a beautiful piece of furniture that is still
ready for use in any home.
