A simple lighting system that, depending on the combination of elements, can be used to create table and pendant light compositions. The two metal finishes and the different colours of the cord for the pendant version offer an additional customisation option. Production year 2025 the brick symbolises the basic element for human constructions and is one of the most primitive and common modular products. This base unit becomes the building block for an iconic, simple lighting system, the tsai light. “what i needed to do was design a unit with the iconic shape of a brick that would represent cassina, without deconstructing its shape too much, to give it good lighting properties, while also developing a way to combine them to create a collection of lamps that could be continuously expanded,” explains the designer mario tsai. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
