Exquisite game table attributed to Theodore Alexander. Blending 17th-century William & Mary aesthetics with modern utility, this piece features barley-twist legs and a graceful curved X-stretcher centered by a turned finial.
The table is designed with a removable, reversible top that allows for three distinct uses:
One side features a luxurious tooled leather writing surface with a central embossed medallion, ideal for use as a library table or occasional desk. The reverse side reveals an inlaid wooden chessboard/checkers square bordered by matching tooled leather. And removing the top entirely reveals a beautiful backgammon board built into the frame of the table.
Two dovetailed drawers—one on each side—provide storage for game pieces and feature decorative cast-metal pulls.
