Compact danish lounge sofa designed by svend skipper and produced by skippers furniture in denmark during the 1960s.
the sofa is upholstered in leather and supported by a sculptural solid wood base. The distinctive base recalls the expressive cabinetmaker aesthetic associated with danish furniture of the period and designs often linked to henning kjærnulf.
the contrast between the soft upholstered body and the architectural wooden base gives the piece a strong visual presence.
the compact two-seater format makes the sofa well suited for smaller living rooms, offices or lounge areas.
