Made … Read more Stunning mid century modern sommero Murano glass catchall designed by Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte (Murano, Italy, 1970s). Made of green, yellow and transparent glass. Perfectly works as an ashtray, a vide poche, a catchall or as a display piece on any table. Extremely decorative. Length: 8 cm/3.2''; width: 8 cm/3.2''; height: 5.7 cm/2.2''. Excellent vintage condition. No chips, no cracks.

"Sommerso" (Italian for ''submerged'') is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
