Matthew Porter, Organ Mountains, 2008. Archival pigment print face-mounted to non-glare Plexiglas, in the artist's original white wood frame. Signed, titled, and numbered verso: 5/5 — the final print in the closed edition of five. Original M+B gallery label affixed to verso.

Porter's work explores the American landscape through a cinematic, slightly surreal lens — his images feel at once documentary and dreamlike. Organ Mountains captures the jagged silhouette of New Mexico's Organ Mountain range at dusk, the sun hanging low and hazy above the peaks. The large-scale format and face-mounted Plexiglas presentation give the image remarkable depth and presence on the wall.

The original white wood frame shows noticeable marks, scuffs, and handling wear throughout — consistent with a light-colored frame that has been relocated multiple times. The archival pigment print face-mounted to non-glare Plexiglas has one light surface scratch visible only when viewed from an angle; not visible when viewed straight on. Print itself remains stable with no fading, discoloration, or handling marks to the image surface. Signed, titled, and numbered verso (5/5 — the final print in the closed edition of five). Original M+B gallery label affixed to verso. Acquired directly from M+B, Los Angeles. Buyer may wish to consider reframing; the print itself is in excellent shape and well worth it. less
