Beautiful antique hotel soldered silver soldered individual sized teapot. Created by Reed & Barton in soldered silver.. A process in which silvered is soldered to a nickel silver base. Creating an extremely durable metallurgical finish. Which is more resistant to tarnish than traditional and thinner silver plating over copper or brass. This teapot features a neoclassical pattern with a circular ingot on its front. A "swag" border that encircles the body. Topped by an urn finial.
Measures 7.75" high x 6.75" wide (spout to handle edge) x 4" deep.
Henry Stadler built one of the first national hotel chains after opening of his first hotel in 1907. Expanding throughout the teens and twenties across the United States. His widow sold the chain to Conrad Hilton in 1954.
This teapot is in very good vintage condition. Structurally sound with no breaks, cracks, fissures, bends, dents, or issues of note. Surface has the patina common with antique soldered silver. Displaying a range of scratches, "dings" and marks commensurate with repeated cleaning and use. However it still retains its complete silver surface with no exposed areas of silver loss. See photos for details.
