Scott Zuckerman (American b. 1951) oil painting on board - insect specimen study of a beetle. Frame measures 7 3/4" x 6 1/4" x 1". Painting measures 5 3/4" x 4 1/8". Signed lower right. Good condition.
Raised in rural Connecticut, Scott Zuckerman studied at the Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, New York. He paints subject matter from nature and is also an illustrator, having done covers for Downeast Magazine, LL Bean catalogues and Maine Sportsman. Zuckerman has exhibited extensively including at the Denver Museum of Natural History, the Salmagundi Club in New York and The Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia.
