Patinated bronze on marble base, signed to base "Peyrol", cold-stamped "BRONZE"
Cast circa 1910
12" H x 4" D x 12 1/4" W
A good lifetime cast of a trotting racehorse after the model by François Auguste Hippolyte Peyrol, son of Hippolyte Peyrol, the Parisian founder and brother-in-law to the Bonheurs. Finished in a dark-brown chemical patination over a lively textured surface. Signed to the naturalistic base.
Condition: Trace wear to original patina. Chips to the marble base, notably in the corner. A fine presentation, cleaned and ready to place.
