Vintage signed Reuge lipstick or cigarette music box carousel. Swiss musical movement. Made in Italy. Capodimonte style porcelain panel decoration. Ornate scroll and cherub design. Figural footed base and cherub musician finial. Measures approx. 6.5 x 13 inches. Designed and manufactured in Italy. released in 1960.
In pristine condition, was owned by one woman and then handed down to her grandchild, was loved and taken very good care of. Had not a pinch of dust near it all the mechanics and hinges and musical keys and buttons are absolutely stunning and work like they were just put together and oiled and handed over.
Plays beautifully , Edelweiss in one of the songs. love story is the other. it winds smoothly and with quickly, all doors open and close on cue. The push button is smooth and works perfectly.
