On the Design:

This Kilim stands out for its solid, deep brick red field that gives the rug a warm and grounded feel. This central area is framed by a sharp, "sawtooth" inner border in charcoal-black, which adds a nice bit of energy and contrast to the design. It’s a great example of how tribal weavers could make a simple layout look very sophisticated.

At both ends of the rug, there are horizontal bands filled with small, traditional patterns. These include tiny cream-colored shapes and wavy lines in dark red and black.
