A striking mid-century studio pottery relief based on Amedeo Modigliani’s iconic "Caryatid" series (c. 1913). This piece captures the artist’s signature aesthetic—the elongated female form, almond eyes, and fluid, rhythmic lines that bridge the gap between ancient antiquity and modernism.
The relief features an intentional "archeological fragment" design, expertly cast to mimic a weathered stone ruin. It is finished in a rich, honey-toned glaze with a contrasting blue-grey wash in the recesses to highlight the sculptural depth. This tactile, three-dimensional work offers a sophisticated presence that a flat print cannot replicate.
Designed for the curated modern interior, it is a hollow-backed terracotta casting suitable for wall mounting or display on a gallery easel. It pairs exceptionally well with Mid-Century Modern, Postmodern, or Brutalist decor.

Condition
Good vintage condition. This piece was designed with factory-glazed "broken" edges as part of the archeological aesthetic. There is one small post-production chip on the upper-left corner that exposes the raw orange terracotta (see photos). This minor wear is consistent with age and blends naturally into the intentional fragment style of the work. This piece is unmarked.
