This exquisite majolica centerpiece vase from Gualdo Tadino is a visually striking piece, ideal for enhancing elegant dining tables, sideboards, or classic console tables.

Subject and Style: The structure features an elegant and majestic elongated boat-like shape. The aesthetic is richly elaborated in typical Renaissance figurative style: the side handles are modeled in relief in the shape of mythological creatures and classical masks. The perimeter band is finely decorated with intricate floral and grotesque motifs, culminating in a central medallion depicting a noble portrait in profile.

Material and Finish: The piece is crafted from solid, heavy majolica, entirely decorated and painted by hand. The artist used polychrome glazes in warm, vibrant hues, enhanced by a glossy finish that gives the decoration great depth. The Gualdo Tadino factory's identifying symbols and initials are traced in blue on the outer base.
