A sculptural pair of italian wall sconces from the 1950s, defined by a dynamic and expressive interplay of curved brass, colored metal, and opaline glass.
each sconce features a fluid, asymmetrical brass arm that extends outward from a circular wall plate, forming a distinctive, almost organic line. The arm supports a spherical opaline glass shade, topped by a green lacquered metal disc that acts as both a visual accent and a subtle reflector.
the contrast between materials is particularly refined: the warm tone of the brass, the soft diffusion of the opaline glass, and the deep green enameled metal create a balanced yet lively composition, typical of italian mid-century lighting design.
the brass surfaces show a rich and varied patina, with darker oxidized areas alongside lighter, more polished sections.
