splendid napoleon iii secretaire of fine french craftsmanship from the second half of the 19th century, crafted with rosewood and rosewood veneer, decorated with high-quality gilded and chiseled bronzes, and featuring a white marble top.

the piece features an elegant, sinuous structure, with curved sides and fronts, typical of the louis xv style revisited in the napoleon iii era.
the front is punctuated by seven drawers, three of which conceal a drop-leaf secretaire, which opens to reveal a light-colored wood (maple) interior with two central drawers, an upper shelf, and a writing area upholstered in red leather.

the gilded bronze applications—depicting winged cherub heads, stylized lilies, foliage, and rocaille decorations—enrich the corners, edges, and bases, lending the piece great refinement and balance.
the contoured white marble top elegantly completes the upper part.
