A piece of furniture with character, as discreet as it is efficient, as beautiful open as it is closed.

materials: oak veneer with a particularly regular and luminous grain. Tapered legs in solid beech. Original brushed brass handles, lightly patinated.

features: this mid-century secretary desk consists of a drop-front that opens to reveal a generous work surface, supported by two brushed brass metal supports. The interior reveals a carefully organized interior: a row of curved dividers for mail and documents, along with two small storage niches and a drawer. The lower section opens with two doors concealing open storage space. The entire piece rests on four tapered legs, an essential signature of mid-century scandinavian style. The drop-front desk does not have its original key and does not lock.

refurbishment: the secretary desk was sanded on the exterior and then carefully washed before being protected with a clear varnish that highlights the warm honey color of the wood.

condition: in superb condition, this vintage secretary desk has undergone an old, almost invisible repair (a screw is visible on the lower right side of the piece). There is also a burn mark on the right side inside the drop-front.
