This hand-painted faience example (model 283) features a beautifully stylized bird amidst flowing floral ornamentation, rendered in a refined palette of cobalt blue, teal, ochre, and wine-red enamels. The delicate dark contouring and rhythmic composition are characteristic of early Rozenburg Jugendstil production.

The base bears the crowned stork factory mark, along with the model number 283, production code S, and an incised factory control number. The absence of decorator initials is consistent with factory-decorated Rozenburg pieces of this period.

Elegant in proportion and highly decorative, this piece represents a fine example of early 20th-century Dutch ceramic design and remains in excellent antique condition, with only minor age-related glaze crazing. This piece has an attribution mark,
