This glamorous design blends art deco sensibilities with 1980s postmodern flair, reflecting lam lee’s interest in material richness and decorative form. The base is composed of three stylised palm fronds in deep red gold leaf, rising from a circular plinth to support a spherical urn finished in lemon gold leaf. The interplay of warm and cool gilded surfaces creates a layered tonal effect across the composition. The original fibreglass shade is finished in white gold leaf with a satin-patinated surface and trimmed in red gold, subtly echoing the base. The lamp’s materials span a refined palette of gilding techniques, typical of lam lee’s studio work during this period. Dimensions height: 86 cm diameter (including shade): 47 cm condition base in good vintage condition with minor wear. Shade shows surface patina and a worn section to the inner fibreglass rim. Some wear to metal spokes; two are slightly bent, but all components are structurally sound and visually presentable. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
