Made from clear, sparkling lead crystal, the sculptural paperweight features a simple, curved body with subtle, impressed facial details and is crowned by a crystal ball delicately balanced on the sea lion’s nose. A wonderful example of mid-century modern Swedish style, this glass piece reflects the simplicity and craftsmanship of vintage Scandinavian glass art Hand-etched with Walving’s signature and a serial number on the finely polished base, it stands 14 cm tall, with a depth of 8.5 cm and a width of 3.5 cm.
