materials: the frame is made of solid pine, revealing a light wood with generous and warm grain. The top and back panel are made of white marble veined with gray, naturally patinated by time, with that golden ivory hue that only age can confer. The drawer knobs are original turned wood.

features: the marble back panel, with its scalloped, arched profile, protects the wall while creating an elegant frame for the tabletop. Two side-by-side drawers, each adorned with a turned round knob, offer discreet storage. The four carefully turned, baluster-shaped, tapered legs give the piece its characteristic visual lightness despite the weight of the marble. A low, solid wood shelf connects the legs, providing a convenient surface for baskets or decorative objects. The generously sized piece works equally well as an entryway console, a side table, or a centerpiece in a stylish bathroom.

refurbishment: this antique bathroom cabinet was first gently sanded to remove the wax and grime that had accumulated, while preserving its patina. It was then treated three times against wood-boring insects and sanded again. Finally, the base was protected with a clear matte varnish. The marble top was thoroughly cleaned.

condition: sturdy and stable on its feet, the base shows some signs of old wood-boring insect damage. The tabletop has a previous repair on its right side and some minor scratches.
