Each sconce is composed of thick fontana arte glass panels, subtly tinted with a cool bluish tone, featuring polished edges and softly satin-finished inner faces. The glass elements are mounted on a blackened metal structure, held in place by patinated brass clips that introduce a warm counterpoint to the otherwise restrained palette. The internal structure reveals three light points aligned vertically, creating a layered and diffused illumination. When lit, the sconces produce a remarkable interplay of light: the frosted inner glass softly diffuses the glow, while the polished edges catch and refract it, generating subtle halos and luminous reflections on the surrounding wall. The result is both sculptural and atmospheric — a signature quality of ingrand’s work for fontana arte. This pair retains a strong sense of authenticity. The metal structures show visible signs of age, including oxidation, patina, and traces of wall paint — all intentionally preserved as part of the objects’ history.
