The series Nature’s Myth is an artistic homage to the primal power and mysticism of nature. These works serve as a visual translation of a deep connection to the natural world, radiating both tranquility and monumental strength. Ben Put employs a palette of dense greens—ranging from rich moss to vibrant grass—to capture the vitality of organic life forms. The haptic structure of the pieces, enhanced by metallic underlayers, represents the mineral raw materials and the very foundation of the earth. It is a bow to nature as an unfathomable force and the essential foundation of all living organisms.
Stylistically, these works belong to the realm of structural abstraction. The interplay between light and shadow, combined with the use of relief-like elements, gives the paintings an almost geological depth. The connection between light and dark nuances acts as a metaphor for fleeting elements such as wind and light, which exist in constant dialogue with solid matter. Nature’s Myth invites the viewer to perceive their own existence as part of a larger, wondrous whole—a powerful symbiosis of gratitude and artistic interpretation of the natural world.
