An extremely rare and spectacular 20th-century ceiling light (or wall light) in true Space Age style, attributed to the finest craftsmanship of the period. Featuring an iconic concentric flying saucer ("UFO") silhouette layered on a white metal base: a perimeter ring of thick black glass with a clear, polished edge surrounds the central dome-shaped diffuser in white opaline glass, also framed by a clear crown. The glass elements are securely held in place by three exposed metal cylindrical latches. Preserved in excellent condition, with the glass elements perfectly intact and free of chips or cracks, the mounting plate intact, and the electrical system ready for use.
