Crafted … Read more The small version of the Multi-Lite pendant lamp is an iconic design by Danish designer Louis Weisdorf from 1972. Crafted in polished brass, it embodies the experimental spirit and geometric optimism of Danish mid-century design. The lamp's exceptional versatility is its defining feature. The spherical shape is defined by a striking metal ring that serves as the axis of rotation for two movable outer shades. This construction allows the light direction to be completely altered with just a few simple adjustments: depending on the position of the shades, the Multi-Lite emits direct upward, downward, or asymmetrical, artistic light. This versatility makes it a functional work of art that adapts to any room and any lighting mood. Weisdorf's design reflects his desire for users to be able to participate in shaping the lamp's atmosphere. This particular example has been comprehensively modernized: we have installed a new socket and fitted a generous 3-meter-long cable. This lamp offers maximum freedom of placement, even in rooms with very high ceilings or decentralized electrical outlets. There is a small scratch on one of the shades (see photos). The Multi-Lite is a timeless collector's item from GUBI, adding a touch of luxury to any interior with its golden brass finish and architectural depth.
