Conceived as a fluid, organic form, the table transforms a traditionally solid material into an object that appears eroded, softened, and molded by movement. Inspired by the geological origins of iberian alabaster formed after the evaporation of an ancient sea4the piece reveals the stone as a fossilized trace of water. Its translucent surface and carved volumes evoke a terrain suspended between solidity and liquidity, where matter retains the memory of its aqueous past. By reinterpreting alabaster as a malleable, almost plastic material, amarist studio challenges conventional approaches to stone carving.
