Made of enameled clay, this lamp is a tribute to the croisillon lamp by french art deco designer jean michel frank, recognized by leading designers around the world as one of the greatest sources of inspiration for many present-day designs. Its creation is based on the use of an enamel with unpredictable results: only after firing do we discover the particular effects of this enamel, which behaves like lava, a material whose movements cannot be anticipated. This is why this lamp is unique. Each piece is hand-made and unique; dimensions and finishes may be adapted. All our lamps can be wired according to each country. If sold to the usa it will be wired for the usa for instance. Renzo maar is a young french-italian artist and designer working with materials such as stoneware, plaster and metal. Passionate by the works of artists and designers like alberto and diego giacometti, jean michel frank, serge roche, charlotte perriand, jean prouvé, line vautrin and jean royère, he combines minimalist shapes and pure colors to design contemporary mirrors, lamps and furniture.
