Texture: the tabletop is smooth to the touch; the three legs include one hand-carved with chisel detailing and two finished in a raw-plaster texture. The handcrafted spill coffee table is a play of contrasts. A streamlined tabletop is paired with the raw, architectural geometry of the legs. Balancing between sculpture and functional furniture, the cashew-like form rests on three conical supports whose textures vary—from chiseled recesses to coarse plaster. Although the smooth top reveals subtle brushstrokes, it feels utterly velvety to the touch, serving as a counterpoint to the rough, sculptural legs. A new casting mold is made for each tabletop, so the edges undulate and differ from piece to piece. Variations also appear in the pattern visible on the surface—delicate brushstrokes capture the artist’s gesture, creating a unique, one-off “painting” every time. Both the top and the legs are made of jesmonite—a sculptural composite of acrylic resin and ceramic gypsum, reinforced with fiberglass. A matte, two component lacquer protects the surface against stains, moisture, and yellowing. This table is intended for those who value craftsmanship, artistic design, and polish functional art. Because it is formed and finished entirely by hand, each piece is unique and may differ slightly from the one shown in the photo.
