A remarkable fusion of engineering precision and sculptural design, this rare balance wall lamp was crafted by cosack leuchten, one of germany’s most respected lighting manufacturers of the mid-20th century. Dating from circa 1960, the piece exemplifies the innovative spirit and technical mastery that defined cosack’s approach to modern lighting. Founded in the early 20th century in neheim-hüsten, the heart of germany’s lighting industry, cosack leuchten earned a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and forward-thinking design. By the 1950s and ’60s, the company was at the forefront of the modernist lighting movement, producing sophisticated fixtures that merged bauhaus principles with german industrial rigor. This particular wall lamp is an outstanding example of that legacy. Constructed with a black lacquered steel wall arm, it features an ingenious series of integrated yellow-painted hooks that allow the shade to be repositioned at various points, a striking visual interplay between form and function. A yellow lacquered counterweight, refinished in the original tone, allows for dynamic adjustment and adds a kinetic elegance to the design. Fully checked and in perfect working condition, this lamp is both a functional light source and a sculptural design object, ideally suited for collectors of rare mid-century european lighting or interior designers looking to make a sophisticated statement. Its architectural presence and rare adjustability make it a centerpiece in any modern or eclectic interior. An authentic and highly decorative piece of 1960s german design history, offered in superb condition. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
