A very fine Sarreguemines earthenware tea set, Kyoto pattern, dating from the early 20th century (1900-1920). The Japanese-inspired decoration, achieved through hand-colored red transfers, features pagodas, landscapes, and floral motifs, with geometric friezes inside the cups.
The set includes five cups and six saucers. Cups are 5cm high, 9.5cm in diameter, and 11.5cm long (including handles). Saucers are 15.5cm in diameter and 2cm high. The set is in very good overall condition for its age, with some wear to the rims, more pronounced on some saucers, a few minor scratches from use, and a firing crack on one handle, both original. Each cup and saucer weighs approximately 250g. This piece has an attribution mark,
