I Wish Someone Would Phone - Words from Panic in Detroit by David Bowie. Trona Pinnacles, California, 2014 is a 16" x 20" C-Type Print from a Limited Edition of 25 by Samuel Hicks.
In this series by London-based photographer Samuel Hicks, the words and lyrics of popular and sometimes evocative songs are set into the urban landscape in neon light.
The Trona Pinnacles in the Californian Desert are an unusual geological formation that consists of over 500 spires called tufa spires spanning an area of 15 kilometres.
In this photography by Samuel Hicks, the opening lyrics from David Bowie's song 'Panic in Detroit' are illuminated in coral colored neon tubes and set alongside the edge of the desert.
Chosen to harmonise with the surrounding environment, the neon tubes glow coral. The landscape glows with the warmth of an arid American desert during the stunning sunrise.
Available as a 48" x 40" print from a limited edition of 10. Labeled by Maker,Numbered
