Highway California by Jo Crowther is an Archival Inkjet Print from a Limited Edition of 12 in this print size of 16" x 20".
A view of the Californian desert sunset is viewed through the windscreen of a car travelling along a Californian highway.
The golden glow of a setting sun illuminates the sky from its position in the sky, barely hidden by a grassy hill. Pine trees shoot up into the soft pastel sky. The tramlines of the highway guide the viewer's eye around the corner, like a journey that is underway and one that beckons the viewer onwards.
Crowther captured this portrait of the Californian desert landscape while on site in California. Her portraits of the land are infused with an honesty that reflects the delicacy and robustness of nature.
