We are pleased to present this ceramic sculptural work by Italian artist Enrico Stropparo, created between the 1980s and 1990s and strongly influenced by Informal Art. The composition is centered on a large concave quadrangular plate, enriched with intricately inlaid elements that enhance its sculptural depth. Subtle, almost imperceptible cuts flex the ceramic surface, generating small fissures that reveal hidden spatial dimensions, inviting closer observation. This refined technical approach demonstrates Stropparo’s mastery in manipulating material tension and form. The piece is characterized by soft, earthy tones achieved through the natural pigmentation of oxides blended with raw materials such as clay and refractory elements. These understated hues balance the work’s structural complexity, creating a harmonious dialogue between form and surface. The artwork is in overall good condition, with a structural imperfection visible only on the reverse, as documented in the images.
