He looks at what we cannot see; he knows what is denied to us. Here, his identity is split: he is both the opaque figure in the foreground and the silhouette cut out against the curtain: two versions of the same being, one solid, the other transparent. Lcd8018 this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
