The heavy, weathered character and original paintings give the whole piece an incredible appearance. Both the design of the cabinet and the painting are simple and primitive, yet authentic and a typical example of regional folk art. The cabinet is painted in a soft blue color with red/pink accents, featuring trees of life in the panels and the wedding date above the doors. The cabinet has been professionally restored in its entirety, with an eye for originality and character. The construction is solid, the painting is worn but conserved, and the patina has been preserved. The interior consists of a simple hanging rail. The cabinet can be locked with a working lock; an extra lock was once fitted inside the cabinet, revealing a third key plate. Old, sporadically present traces of woodworm have been inspected and treated. The cabinet can be transported in two parts. 182cm high, 142cm wide, 53cm deep. See less
