A stylish and very beautiful dining table designed by Børge Mogensen and manufactured by Snedkargaarden, which was acquired by Fredericia Furniture in 2005.
The table is made of solid oak of very high quality, a material that is not only beautiful but also robust and durable. The solid table top provides a stable and generous surface that is just as suitable for dinners and socializing as for work and everyday life.
This size of the table is no longer manufactured, making the table extra sought after. It is also equipped with two practical extension leaves that are mounted on the short sides. When not in use, they are conveniently stored under the table top. You can choose to use one leaf or both at the same time, depending on your needs. The leaves are elegantly lacquered black and create a beautiful contrast to the warm wood tone of the table.
Thanks to the generous size, this is a very practical and social dining table. In its original design, three chairs can easily fit on each long side and one chair on each short side. with the extension leaves you get four more seats. This makes the table perfect for family dinners, celebrations and long evenings together with loved ones.
The table is in a timeless model and was designed back in the 1950s by designer Børge Mogensen and is a fantastic example of how function and aesthetics meet in perfect harmony. The straight lines and minimalist shape make the table just as obvious in a modern home as in a more classic environment.
The design language is clearly inspired by the American shaker style, something that recurs in many of Mogensen's furniture for Fredericia Furniture. There is an obvious simplicity, a well-thought-out expression and a durability that really stands the test of time.
The straight legs run elegantly down to the floor and reinforce the stylish and balanced expression. The table is restrained in its design but at the same time one of Mogensen's more exclusive tables, made of carefully selected dense oak that highlights the natural beauty of the wood in the very best way.
In summary, this is a timeless and classic dining table that is easy to combine with different styles and expressions. It fits just as well in a modern interior as with older furniture and creates a beautiful balance between tradition and the present.
The table is stamped underneath and in absolutely top condition, with only very few or no signs of wear. The surface is silky smooth and treated with a durable wax.
