Wonderful vintage lounge chair by charles & ray eames from one of the first generations, bearing both the herman miller and vitra labels.
completely sold as a set with the matching ottoman, this design classic was created in 1956 at the request of billy wilder, who wanted a comfortable yet sophisticated and modern lounge chair.
the chair swivels beautifully and is incredibly comfortable.
both the ottoman and chair are labeled (see photos).
the wood is in very good condition; minimal chips have been professionally repaired. It was described to me as santos rosewood. The invoice/documentation is available.
the leather is still in good condition:
the ottoman has a very dark brown cushion with some superficial signs of wear (this is photographed and, as you can see in the pictures, blends beautifully with the leather of the armchair).
the armchair has some minor wear around the buttons on the seat and some wear on the armrests (documented in the photos; the chair was used in this condition in our home; the leather can be refreshed by an upholsterer, and the armrests can also be reupholstered at some point – but it can be used immediately as is).

ottoman dimensions: h 42 x w 63 x d 56 cm this piece has an attribution mark,
i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
