A ceramic ashtray by hermes, made in france in the latter half of the 20th century. These ashtrays have always been very collectable with the vintage models in particular. This one has a lovely bird-of-paradise theme but at the same time typically hermes; a lovely decorative addition to any home and a nice way to start any collection.
founded in paris in 1837, hermès began as a master saddlery workshop before expanding into leather goods, scarves, and luxury accessories. Over nearly two centuries, the maison has upheld its reputation for unparalleled craftsmanship, using only the finest materials and time-honored techniques. Hermès homewares (ranging from porcelain to glassware) carry the same ethos of quality and design innovation that defines its fashion collections. Each hermès object embodies the brand’s commitment to elegance, durability, and timeless style.
