The transparent back of the Biedermeier chair offers a wide range of decorative possibilities. In this case, the original owner opted for the baluster's latticework and motifs. A diamond-shaped walnut burl inlay is set into the crossbar above.
This stylistically pure set of Biedermeier chairs features square tapered legs. The rear legs are slightly splayed, and the frame is constructed in the typical style: a frame with a rail.
