The collection explores the original value of matter and the constructive gesture. Lava stone, born from the fire of Etna, and bronze, shaped by casting, are two expressions of the same element: fire, which through time and the hand of man transforms into form.
Bronze intervenes as a human gesture: it does not dominate the stone, but accompanies it. Edge, joint, graft. The primordial force of the lava is joined by the fire of the foundry.
The nine pieces in the collection evoke archetypal forms. The vase and the container belong to the earliest typologies of material culture: objects created to collect, conserve, and preserve. In Primitivo, this function also becomes symbolic. The internal void becomes the center of the work: a space of waiting, memory, and possibility.
