This E1027 side table by Eileen Gray, crafted from tubular steel and glass, was originally designed by Gray in 1926. The ingenious design features a chrome-plated tubular steel frame with a circular glass top that cantilevers from a ‘C’-shaped base. The height of the table is adjustable along the base, making it a versatile piece to place next to a sofa, a chair or beside a bed. Excellent vintage condition. The chain hangs from the underside of the figure-of-eight connecting bracket, and the metal supports at the top of the glass are attached to the underside of the tubular frame with screws, as per the original design. This coffee table is a classic of modern design. The chrome and glass frame offers an elegant and timeless look. Perfect for contemporary interiors.
