Produced by Elektrosvit Nové Zámky, it became a quiet yet ubiquitous presence across former Czechoslovakia: illuminating police desks in films, accompanying architects in their studios, and serving as a dependable tool in everyday domestic interiors.

Its enduring appeal lies in the clarity of its industrial logic. The clamp-on base anchors the lamp securely to the edge of a desk or shelf, preserving valuable surface space while ensuring stability. The articulated arm and directional shade allow for precise control of light — an essential quality for drawing, reading, or focused work.

The shade is formed from steel and finished in a striking light grey tone, giving the piece a subtle yet confident presence. Slim, polished metal rods introduce a refined contrast, lending a quiet elegance to what is otherwise a purely functional object. The black on/off switch along the cable has been carefully replaced with a period-appropriate version, maintaining both usability and authenticity.
