A grand pair of Neoclassical pedestals in the Empire taste. These impressive 4-foot columns feature a rich mahogany-toned finish accented by parcel-gilt details. Each pedestal is designed with a tripod silhouette, featuring three carved lion masks that lead down to elongated, textured legs.
The pieces terminate in classical parcel-gilt lion paw feet resting on a robust, shaped plinth base adorned with gilded laurel swags. With their dramatic height and sturdy construction, these are ideal for displaying marble sculptures, large-scale vases, architectural fragments, or plants.
Condition:
Good vintage condition. Some age-appropriate scuffs to the base and light wear to the gilded accents. Some light staining and cupping to the top surfaces. Very Sturdy.
