The faces are simplified to basic planes—arched brows, long noses, minimal mouths—giving the piece a quiet, stylized look that sits between figurative and abstract.

Made in terracotta with a faux bronze patina, a finish commonly used in mid- to late-century decorative ceramics to mimic cast metal. The surface shows tonal variation, speckling, and areas of rub-through, especially along edges and high points, which is typical of this type of finish and consistent with age.
