The whitewashed example, likely of Indonesian origin, appears to have functioned as a finial or component of a larger sculptural or architectural ensemble. The darker, flat-backed figure, possibly from Cambodia or Thailand, was likely affixed to the fascia or exterior of a wooden structure. Both carvings show surface wear, minor losses, and patination consistent with age and long-term exposure.
