The striking 19th century tea canisters were later converted into table lamps. The cylindrical forms are hand-painted with finely detailed figural scenes depicting tranquil garden settings and everyday life, framed by gilt geometric borders and classical banding.

Originally produced as tea storage canisters during the 19th century, the bodies retain their charming numbered medallions (“11” and “12”), a nod to traditional tea grading and organization systems used in 19th-century England.
