Original work by Laurie Anderson from the 2012 exhibition at Vito Schnabel Gallery, New York.
“Fabric 1” is a large-scale oil on fabric composition, framed under glass as originally delivered from the gallery. The piece features Anderson’s distinctive gestural line work layered over a patterned ground, with areas of sweeping movement and concentrated mark-making that give the work both structure and energy. Subtle tonal variation and painterly passages move across the surface, creating a sense of motion and depth throughout the composition.
This work has been continuously displayed in private homes since acquisition and has never been stored. The painting remains in its original frame and presentation.
Accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
