Once formed and sanded for hundreds of hours, the wood is placed in an oven at 400 degrees, then stained and finished with a clear coat for protection. No two pieces are alike, making each table a singular work of functional art. This piece is signed and dated 2003 by the artist on the underside. However, the signature and date is rather hard to see in the provided photos, but it is indeed there. And the table is in perfect condition.

Dimensions: 16” high X 21” diameter, and it weighs 78 lbs.

Daniel Pollock was born and raised in Southern California and has spent the past 31 years living on a fifteen acre ranch located in the high desert which sits at the foothills of the San Bernardino National Forest. He is a woodsman turned artist whose first love has always been the forest and its tranquility, which inspires his art. Pollock uses woods such as White Fir, Giant Juniper, Cottonwood and different types of pine as his medium of choice.

When creating a wood table he always finds a source of wood that will not require a living tree to be cut down. Then he sands and smooths the wood, to reveal each of that piece of wood its own gentle and aged lines.

Pollock’s wood creations have been widely collected and remain in high demand.
