This is a stunning, oversized Japanese Arita-style porcelain charger featuring a classic Sansui (mountain and water) landscape. The central motif showcases a sprawling pine tree, traditional pagodas, and a serene lakeside scene set against towering mountains. The rim is finished with a sophisticated Ruyi-style cloud scroll border.
Design & Craftsmanship:
Artistry: Hand-painted in rich cobalt blue using the underglaze method, ensuring the design remains vibrant and protected beneath a smooth, glassy finish.
Markings: Features a hand-painted blue shop mark or signature on the reverse, characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century Japanese kiln production.
