Known today … Read more A wrought iron coffee table fashioned in the 1970s by the renowned New England blacksmith artisan Lance Cloutier. Known today primarily for his iconic handwrought “bayonet” candlesticks, he was long acclaimed for the delicacy he brought to the finely hammered items crafted upon his forge. He’d often point out to customers that he came from a long line of nail makers, which his ancestral name derived from in French. Although he was a juried member for many decades of the prestigious New Hampshire League of Craftsmen, Cloutier’s furniture and utilitarian works are today considered quite rare. See less
