Vintage Scandinavian mid century modern teak dining table with inlaid ceramic tiles, made in Denmark by Gangso Mobler c. 1970s.
The inlaid segments round off at each end, mirroring the surfboard shape of the dining surface. The tiles, designed by Danish artist Poul Hermann Poulsen, span all four segments of the fully-expanded table, blending the lines between furniture and functional art. Poulsen's signature can be found on one of the corner pieces ("P Hermann").
The trestle base allows the tabletop to be expanded by one person, also enabling internal storage for one of the two leaves. It is stable at all sizes and maximizes leg room, allowing the table to accommodate up to 10 guests comfortably.
